Toke Aidt University Senior Lecturer Fellow of Jesus College
![]() The aim of this course is to help the participants develop a conceptual framework within which national and international environmental problems can be analysed systematically and the effects of environmental regulation can be evaluated. In addition, the course aims at providing the participants with an understanding of the principles of optimal environmental regulation. The emphasis is primarily theoretical but reference will be made to empirical cases throughout the lectures and in the related supervision essays. The course outline is available below. In addition, lecture notes and PowerPoint presentations will be made available as we go along. Finally, two sets of supervision questions are available.
