OTHER LIBRARY FACILITIES/SERVICESWeb pageThe Library's web page provides access to a wide range of ejournals, ebooks and links to a host of useful online economic resources such as Econlit and Scopus. Library computing facilitiesIn the Library, the Stats Room contains computers for student use. These machines are part of the University's Public Workstation Facility (PWF) Managed Cluster Service. Any member of the University with a PWF account can use these computers. PWF laser printers are available and the Library is able to add printing credit to your account at the Loans Counter The Library also provides WiFi Internet access via Lapwing throughout the Library and power sockets are available at every desk. WiFi Internet accessLapwing wireless access, authenticated by RAVEN password, is available in the Library eCounterItems eCounterItems are scanned copies of key chapters from books that are found on undergraduate reading lists. They can be accessed from the Library catalogue or from the eCounterItems section of the Marshall Library website. They are available 24/7 from both inside and outside the Cambridge IP domain - which means you can access them from home during vacation. Access to them is via RAVEN authentication. RecommendationsThe Library requests reading lists from all Faculty lecturers, and buys all new titles on them, wherever possible. Reading lists will be available on the Faculty Network in due course. Students are also encouraged to suggest books for purchase using the online book recommendation form on the Library Web Page, or the book recommendation forms available near the catalogue terminals. PhotocopyingThere are several photocopying machines in the Library. All are operated by cards, which may be purchased at the Loans Counter. Please note the restrictions on photocopying imposed by the Copyright Act, details of which are posted beside each machine. software support. |
