Emerirus Professor Geoffrey Harcourt, was made a Companion of the Order of Australia in General Division (AC), in the Queen's Birthday Honours. An AC is the highest order of the Orders of Australia. The citation read "For eminent service to higher education as an academic economist and author, particularly in the fields of Post-Keynesian economics, capital theory and economic thought."
