The Marshall Library of the Faculty of Economics
Post of Library Invigilator (Lent and Easter Term 2010 only)

Hours: 5.00 p.m. – 7.00 p.m.
Rate of pay: £10.44 per hour.

The Marshall Library of the Faculty of Economics is looking for evening library invigilators to work Monday to Friday or part of the week.   Duties include: issuing/discharging books on a computerised issue system, processing and shelving books etc. Accepting responsibility for the security of the Library and ensuring that it is secure after closure in the evening.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, flexible in outlook with good communication and inter-personal skills. Physical fitness consistent with the need to reshelve and handle books is essential. A good general education is required together with good IT and keyboard skills. Previous experience of working in an academic library would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
