Research Assistant

The Faculty wishes to appoint up to two part time Research Assistants with effect from 2 January 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter. These are part-time posts of 20 hours per week funded by a grant from the Keynes fund for the project entitled “The Effectiveness of Circuit Breakers in Equity Markets”. The Research Assistants would be based at the Faculty of Economics, working with Prof Oliver Linton.

Candidates must be working towards a PhD in a quantitative discipline and possess some programming skills and knowledge of empirical finance. Informal inquiries may be addressed to Prof Oliver Linton at (obl20@cam.ac.uk).

These are fixed-term appointments until the 30 September 2013 in the first instance.  The salary will be at Grade 5 on the University scale, starting at £23,881 pro rata, per annum.
