Temporary Lectureship in the Faculty of Economics

The Faculty of Economics seeks applications for a Temporary two-year Lectureship which is available from 1 September 2012.   The Faculty is particularly interested in applicants with applied, policy and/or empirical interests and has a preference for those who are able to make a teaching contribution to either development, industrial economics/organisation, macroeconomics or finance and, in particular, the MPhil in Finance and Economics [http://www.econ.cam.ac.uk/prospect/newmphil/FinanceEconomics/index.html].    Applications from excellent candidates from all areas of economics are also encouraged. The Faculty is particularly interested in those with an established record in research although it is also willing to consider those who expect to have a PhD by September 2012.

All appointments will be subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the University of Cambridge.  All applicants must complete and sign a CHRIS/6 application cover sheet (Parts I and III only) which can be downloaded from the Faculty website below.  Applications should include:

  • a completed and signed application cover sheet (CHRIS/6)
  • a curriculum vitae;
  • the names and full addresses (including fax, telephone and e-mail) of three referees;
  • an outline of research plans;
  • a full list of all publications;
  • three sample pieces of major work;
  • information on teaching and research interests.

 

These should be sent by email attachment to the Secretary of the Appointments Committee econappt@hermes.cam.ac.uk no later than 16 February 2012.  The CHRIS/6 cover sheet and further details can be found below.

Candidates should ask three referees to write directly on their behalf to the Secretary of the Appointments Committee (econappt@hermes.cam.ac.uk) by the closing date.
