Cambridge Journal of Economics - Call for Papers
Call for Papers. Dr Carolina Alves is organising a special issue of the Cambridge Journal of Economics. Along with, Bruno Bonizzi (University of Hertfordshire), Annina Kaltenbrunner (Leeds University Business School), and Gabriel Palma (Emeritus Faculty of Economics), Dr Alves will be editing a special issue of the CJE that aims to provide an assessment of the financialisation process in developing and emerging economies (DEEs). The deadline for the submission of papers is 31st May 2020.

The Political Economy of Anger, Rebuilding Macroeconomics
Rebuilding Macroeconomics are hosting an afternoon talk "The Political Economy of Anger". The event will feature Professor Mark Blyth and macro fund manager Eric Lonergan discussing their forthcoming book on the political economy of anger, along with two discussants Professor Anand Menon and Dr. Carolina Alves. It will be held at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR), London, on 5th February 2019, from 1.00-3.00pm.

DEEs Workshop 2018 - Call for Papers
The "How to Conceptualise Financialisation in Developing and Emerging Economies? Manifestations, Drivers and Implications" workshop will be held on 13-14 December 2018, at Girton College, University of Cambridge. The workshop invites contributions on the theoretical and empirical specificities of the manifestations, drivers and implications of financialisation in DEEs. Paper proposals should be submitted by June 1st 2018.
