The SuperGen Initiative at Cambridge
NEW BOOK: Future Electricity Technologies and Systems The SuperGen (Sustainable Power Generation & Supply) Initiative was established to examine the issues involved in developing a system of sustainable power generation and supply in the UK. Under the initiative, a series of interdisciplinary research consortia have been established to look at low carbon power and network technologies.The Department of Applied Economics at Cambridge University is providing economic input to the Future Network Technologies Consortium . This Consortium brings together engineers and social scientists from eight UK Universities to address the form of distribution network required to support a sustainable energy policy and effective electricity trading. The Future Network Technologies Consortium consists of the University of Cambridge, Imperial College, Strathclyde University, De Montfort University, UMIST, the University of Bath, the University of Hull and the University of Edinburgh. |
