Social Events

We have planned a range of events, all of which, except for the optional trip on the last day of the conference, are covered by your registration fee.

On Thursday evening, a welcome (drinks) reception will be held in The Pitt Building. The foundation stone for The Pitt Building was laid in 1831 and the building housed over the subsequent 100 years the printing and publishing offices of Cambridge University Press.

On Saturday afternoon, you can participate in a guided city (walking) tour and a punting trip down the river Cam along the Backs of the Colleges.

On Saturday evening, a Gala dinner is held in Jesus College.

On Sunday afternoon after the conclusion of the conference, you may wish to participate in a trip to Imperial War Museum Duxford . The cost of this event is not covered by your registration fee.

Please note that due to space constraints it is very important that you register for the social events that you would like to attend. Only persons who have registered for the respective events will be allowed to participate. Therefore, please tick the appropriate boxes when registering for the conference.
