Cambridge Women's Economics Network:
meet and greet events

Following the success of the "Women in Economics Day" held at Gonville and Caius College in September, which came with a public call to address the gender disparity in economics (http://www.theguardian.com/higher-education-network/2015/jun/02/we-need-a-sexual-revolution-in-economics), we are launching the women's economics network to help support the aspirations of female economics students and academics at the University, and our first event - a "meet and greet" - will be a great opportunity for students and lecturers to chat and mingle, getting to know one another and sharing their experiences in an informal and comfortable environment.

Come along to the event to find out more about the female members of the Faculty, to ask them questions or simply to seek advice based on their own work and careers over tea, coffee and a light lunch.

To ensure that everyone has maximum opportunity to attend, we will be holding this event on two separate days:

13th November, 1.30pm-3pm
25th November, 1pm-2.30pm

We invite all students to sign up to one of the two times at:

The event will be held (on both occasions) at Gonville & Caius College, in the Senior Parlour (which is on the 1st floor of D staircase, Gonville Court) - a map can be found here: http://www.cai.cam.ac.uk/location/old-courts

Students are welcome to drop in part way through the session if they are not able to make the start time, but please note that food and drink might have run out - please don't go hungry!

If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to contact Dr Victoria Bateman at vb295@cam.ac.uk.

We hope to see you there! Victoria Bateman, Maureen Macisaac, Sophie Finet, Marie Bonnemaison and Ana Radomirescu
