Tariff Scares Can Reduce Export Activity

Dr. Meredith Crowley was quoted in the NBC News article "Tariffs on sugar, shoes, mean higher costs for consumers". "Even the threat of a tariff - that is never followed through and imposed - can reduce export activity". The article also cited Dr. Crowley's "Tariff Scares: Trade policy uncertainty and foreign market entry by Chinese firms" 2018 paper (joint with Huasheng Song and Ning Meng), Journal of International Economics.
