Citigroup Names Jane Fraser as New CEO 

On 10 September, Citigroup named Cambridge Economics Alumna Jane Fraser as their new chief executive. This is the first time that a woman has been appointed as CEO of a large Wall Street bank. Jane Fraser attended Girton College between 1985 and 1988 and graduated with a BA from the Economics Tripos in 1988. Market Design When Resource Allocation is NP-Hard - Paul Milgrom 

Professor Paul Milgrom (Stanford Department of Economics) will give this years Marshall Lecture on "Market Design When Resource Allocation is NP-Hard". The lectures will take place on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th November 2019. Both lectures will start at 5.00pm and be held in Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick Avenue, Cambridge. A question and answer session will take place after the second lecture.

The Faculty is delighted to announce that Margit Reischer (PhD student) is one of the two winners of this year's Cambridge Finance Best Student Paper Award 2019 for her "Finance-Thy-Neighbor. Trade Credit Origins of Aggregate Fluctuations" working paper. The award was presented by Prof. Bart Lambrecht (Director of both Cambridge Centre for Finance (CCFin) and Cambridge Endowment for Research in Finance (CERF)) on 14th June 2019.
