Rebuilding Macroeconomics Cambridge-INET Sustainable Growth Hub Workshop 

Rebuilding Macroeconomics and Cambridge-INET are hosting the Sustainable Growth Hub Workshop at King's College, University of Cambridge on 16th March 2020. The aim of this workshop is to discuss the preliminary results of projects funded by the Hub. Presentations will be given on some interim findings to open up a general discussion and encourage a cross-fertilization of ideas from members of the Network.

IMF Annual Research Conference 

Professor Giancarlo Corsetti will speak at The International Monetary Fund's Twentieth Jacques Polak Annual Research Conference, which is being held at the IMF headquarters in Washington DC on 7th-8th November 2019. Prof. Corsetti's talk will be on his paper "Debt Sustainability and the Terms of Official Support", joint with Aitor Erce (European Investment Bank) and Timothy Uy (Deloitte).

Official Lending and Debt Sustainability in the Euro Area 

Professor Giancarlo Corsetti, Aitor Erce and Timothy Uy have published an article for VOXeu titled "Official lending in the euro area: Lessons for debt sustainability", that looks at how lengthening loan maturities and managing debt repayment flows has substantial effects on sustainability.

Debt Sustainability: The State of the Art 

Professor Giancarlo Corsetti's debt sustainability report has been published by European Parliament. The landmark report highlights three critical areas limiting the effectiveness of current Debt Sustainability Assessments – liquidity risks, contagion risks and identification of debt limits – and sets out a plan for how the European assessment system can be reformed.
