Sriya Iyer has been awarded the Pilkington Teaching Prize.

The 21st annual Pilkington Prizes, which honour excellence in teaching across the collegiate University, have been awarded. These prizes are awarded annually to academic staff, with candidates nominated by Schools within the University.

The Pilkington Prizes were initiated by Sir Alastair Pilkington, the first Chairman of the Cambridge Foundation, who believed passionately that the quality of teaching was crucial to Cambridge’s success.

Dr Sriya Iyer is one of this year’s recipients, and a formal presentation of the Prize will be made by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz on 30 June 2014.

Past recipients in Economics include Dr Toke Aidt in 2006.
