Faculty of Economics

The Faculty does not plan to make any changes or amendments to the teaching programmes for 2021-22 at either undergraduate or postgraduate level.

However, there will be a change to the method of teaching for the Michaelmas Term. Following University guidelines, undergraduate lectures involving cohorts of at least 100 students, will be delivered on-line and recorded. Postgraduate teaching, as far as is possible, will have in-person teaching. Recordings will subsequently be available for students unable to attend due to COVID-related reasons.

Students will be expected to be in Cambridge for their studies. Those who cannot come to Cambridge should read the University’s policy on temporary permission to study remotely:

Precise details and instructions on how to connect and access lectures and classes will follow in due course.

The Faculty retains the right to make changes to the mode of instruction and residency requirements in line with restrictions imposed by the Government, and a decision that lectures to large cohorts will be delivered on-line will be reviewed after the Division of the Michaelmas Term to determine whether such delivery is required in Lent Term as well.
