Alba Patozi

“ Economics helps me understand the causes and consequences of societal behaviour. "

Alba Patozi holds an MPhil. in Economic Research degree from the University of Cambridge (UK) and a BSc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK). Alba’s research focuses on financial stability and macroprudential policies and she has work/internship experience from both academic and policy institutions. (University of Coburg, IMF, Bank of Albania).

Why economics?

“ I am pursuing a PhD in Economics because I want to better understand the causes and consequences of societal behaviour and how the latter can be influenced by policy actions. Economics provides me with rigorous theoretical and empirical methods, that can be used to analyse the mechanisms by which macroeconomic policies affect different agents in the economy. Being able to identify these mechanisms and quantify their impact is key to designing polices with a high impact on how our societies are shaped. ”
