Monetary Policy in Times of Crisis – A Tale of Two Decades of the European Central Bank

Dr. Petra Geraats was a discussant at the online event "European monetary policy: lessons from the past two decades", organised by the independent European think tank Bruegel.

The event featured the presentation of the new book “Monetary Policy in Times of Crisis – A Tale of Two Decades of the European Central Bank", which was written by seven authors from the ECB. Two of the authors participated, Wolfgang Lemke and Massimo Rostagno (Head of Division and Director General at the ECB, resp.), and the event was chaired by Francesco Papadia (Senior Fellow at Bruegel), who also acted as discussant. The landmark book provides an inside view of monetary policymaking at the ECB during its first two decades and was written to mark its 20th anniversary.

More information and the recordings of the event are available at https://www.bruegel.org/events/european-monetary-policy-lessons-from-the-past-two-decades/.
