Women in Investment Awards 2022

Congratulations to distinguished alumna Simona Paravani-Mellinghoff who has received an award from Investment Week magazine, which was delighted to honour the winners of the Women in Investment Awards 2022.

The award was in partnership with Amundi ETF, at a special ceremony in London. Simona from BlackRock was a double winner on the night, taking home accolades for Role Model of the Year and Investment Woman of the Year (large firms).

The judges described Simona simply as ‘a superwoman’ and they were in awe of how she can fit it all in, including writing books, teaching, mentorship, advocacy and delivering in her day job. In particular, they said she is a visible and important role model for young women.

Teaching part of the MPhil in Finance and Economics, the graduate course Ms Paravani-Mellinghoff teaches aims to provide a good level of competence around the main applications of AI in finance by covering a range of industry relevant topics such as use of alternative data, sentiment analysis and NLP.
