The Board of the Central Bank of Chile have appointed Dr Petra Geraats to an independent panel of experts to evaluate the Bank's performance in achieving its objectives of price and financial stability. The final evaluation report will be presented to the Chilean Senate in September 2019, marking the upcoming 30th anniversary of autonomy for the Central Bank of Chile.
The other members of the evaluation panel are Karnit Flug (Chair; former Governor of the Bank of Israel), Guillermo Calvo (Columbia University), Enrique Mendoza (University of Pennsylvania), and Donald Kohn (Brookings Institution, external member of the Bank of England's Financial Policy Committee, and former Vice-Chair of the Federal Reserve Board).
