Professor Kaivan Munshi will deliver three invited lectures over December and January. The Infosys Prize Lecture at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore on 15th December 2017, the Infosys Prize Lecture at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai on 4th January 2018 and 13th Annual Conference on Growth and Development, hosted by the Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi on the 19th December 2017.

More than fifty Year 12 and Year 13 students from schools in Eastern England and greater London took part in this year's computer-based simulation game 'Running the British Economy'.

Professor Sir Partha Dasgupta was asked by the Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences to write a tribute to Professor Kenneth Arrow. The tribute will be published in the Academy's Proceedings. Prof. Dasgupta is also attending the Academic Tribute to Kenneth Arrow Meeting held at Stanford University on the 9th October 2017.

Dr Sriya Iyer has written a report on the IEA Roundtable on the Economics of Religion that took place on the 10-11th July 2017 at St. Catharine's College, Cambridge.

The Faculty held it's annual Away Day on the 23rd May 2017 at Madingley Hall, Cambridge.

On 27 February, the library launched the first of a series of exhibitions to celebrate Cambridge Economists since 1970. This exhibition celebrates the life and work of the economist, Frank Hahn and will be on display in the Marshall Library Social Area until 25th April, 2017

The Faculty is pleased to announce that the title of the degree of Doctor of Science honoris causa will conferred on Eric Maskin on Wednesday, 21 June 2017 and that the title of the degree of Doctor of Law honoris causa will be conferred on Jonathan Adair, Baron Turner of Ecchinswell.
