The organising committee of the 17th World Congress of the International Economic Association has invited Dr Palma to present a paper on "the "Palma Ratio" and it implications" in the Plenary Session that will close its congress on the 10th of June. The discussant will be Joseph Stiglitz, the current president of the IEA. The title of paper to be presented is: "Why is inequality so unequal across the world? Could it be that every nation gets the inequality it deserves?
