Established in 1950, the Feltrinelli Prize recognises outstanding achievements in the arts and sciences. It originally had two categories: International and Italian. Among economists, recipients include Arthur Cecil Pigou, Ragnar Frisch, Gottfried Haberler, Paolo Sylos Labini and Mario Draghi. The “Feltrinelli Giovani” category of the Prize, reserved for Italian researchers under the age of 40, was added in more recent years.
