Ha-Joon Chang has been voted the third most influential economist in the Prospect World Thinkers 2013 poll (overall rank 18), after Paul Krugman (overall rank 5) and Amartya Sen (overall rank 7) and with Daniel Kahneman coming in with an overall rank of 10.
