Faculty of Economics

Ana Lleo Bono

“ One of the things I like the most about Behavioural and Experimental Economics is the interdisciplinary approach it takes and its many applications. "

Ana Lleó holds an MPhil in Economic Research from the University of Cambridge (UK) and a BSc in Economics from the University of Valencia (Spain). During her undergraduate degree, she studied abroad at Rutgers University (USA) for one academic year. Ana worked as a Research Assistant at the Bank of Spain, the LINEEX (Laboratory for Research in Behavioural Experimental Economics), and the Ivie (Valencian Institute for Economic Research). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics focusing on Behavioural and Experimental Economics.

Why economics?

“Behavioural Economics uses concepts from psychology to bring economic models closer to reality, which I found very interesting. Then, working as a research assistant, I could see first-hand how to formulate and conduct all the steps of a research project. I really liked the work environment and the fact that I could make a lifestyle out of learning, which motivated me to pursue a PhD.

One of the things I like the most about Behavioural and Experimental Economics is the interdisciplinary approach it takes and its many applications. We can apply experimental methods on different subfields to answer all sorts of questions.”
