Faculty of Economics

Tuesday, 28 February, 2017

Frank Hahn first came to Cambridge as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Economics and Politics in 1960. He presented an intellectually terrifying figure whose brain worked many times faster than the time required for social niceties, but as his colleagues will testify, he also demonstrated a rare gift for friendship and loyalty. Throughout his career as a theoretical economist, he earned international honours and accolades. The Exhibition launch was attended by Frank’s widow, Dorothy and introduced by Professor Sanjeev Goyal. Professor Hamid Sabourian spoke of Frank's life and work and his personal memories, as Frank's former PhD student. The launch was attended by a number of past and present members of the Faculty of Economics. The Exhibition and display includes a selection of Frank's key works and publications.
